Meet Liz

Life can be lonely on the mission field. If you have read our early blogs, you know we 'had' a kitten named Bobby. Bobby was a very affectionate kitten and I loved cuddling and playing with him. But Bobby is a feral cat. If you know anything about feral cats they are of a necesssity, very independent. The older Bobby got the less he let me cuddle and play with him. He would still come by to be feed, but this too became less frequent. He only comes about twice a week now.

I really missed Bobby's companionship and gave serious thought to getting a puppy or kitten. But considering we have a very large croc in the canal next to our yard, this did not seem prudent. Then along came Liz and my desire to have a pet was fulfilled.

We had a small house for sale (by small, I mean 8 inches by 5 inches) on our property and Liz came by to see it. Liz fell in love with this darling house. I mean, isn't it every females desire to have a sweet house with a white picket fence? As a bonus, the house was a foreclosure, so Liz got the house at a steal. The very next day Liz moved in.

You forge close relationships on the mission field very quickly and it was no different with Liz. We grew so close that we were often at each other's house. This was inevitable considering Liz's house sits on the railing of our deck. Liz has also become part of our missions team and often travels to conferences and churches where we are ministering.

We did have to ask her to stop climbing our walls as it was scaring off the geckos that eat the unwanted insects in our house. She graciously complied.

Below are some pictures we took of Liz for you to enjoy.  Oh by the way, Liz's full name is Liz Ard.

This picture was taken the day Liz came over to check out the house we had for sale.

An exciting day for Liz. She bought this cute house.

Craig had made a bridge as a visual for our last kids revival, and Liz offered to test it for us. She's thoughtful like that.

Here Liz is worshipping with some kids at our last kids revival.

Liz was fascinated by the 2017 solar eclipse. We had to keep asking her to move her head out of the way so we could watch it too. Usually she has better manners than that, but the excitement of the eclipse was just too much for her.

We hope you have enjoyed getting to know our new friend/pet. We will certainly post more pictures as our adventures with Liz continue.
