Children's Crusade

We just finished having Children's Revival Services in three different churches. They were all well attended. The last church we were in there was about 125 kids present. Every time I looked out the door, another truck load of kids was being dropped off at the door.

We began the services with fun action songs for the kids. We were able to use Dwayne's projector to show the action songs on a sheet hung over a chalk board or pulpit. This was a big deal to these children since they don't have access to this kind of entertainment very often.

Then our Evangelist, Andy Gregg, presented the message to the kids. His focus was, "Jesus Loves You". He explained to them that they could have a personal relationship with Jesus even though they were just children. He also explained to them that they could receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. As a result, 26 children and 3 adults received the gift of the Holy Ghost. It was so touching to see these little ones with their hands raised and tears flowing down their faces as they gave their lives to Jesus.

We really appreciated Andy coming to Belize to preach this revival for us, especially considering he and his wife  just had a new baby girl one week before he got here. (though I suspect it was his wife that did most of the "having") .  Congratulations Mom, Dad and big brother.

Andy brought his father with him and they were able to get in some fishing while they were here. His Dad went home with a bright red sunburn to show for his time in Belize. We tried to warn him to use sunscreen. The sun here is just plain scary.

Craig is off teaching his Leadership classes today, so I am home alone. I boiled a pot of kidney beans to make chili with. This was a real act of love on my part, since the temperature is 87 degrees even with the air conditioning on. I could just skip real food in this heat and survive on ice cream, but my husband, being the unreasonable man he is, won't let me. Is anyone on my side?

We see we have some new friends from Mexico reading our blog. Welcome friends. We'd love to hear from you.

God bless you,
Carolyn
